There's nothing quite as bittersweet as your precious newborn is growing up. The good news is, as incredible and tiny and perfect as new babies are, there is nothing quite as captivating as your baby when they are just a little bit older.
​
After the age of about 6 months, before they can walk, babies are an absolute joy to photograph. Those sweet little rolls on their arms and legs! The giggling! Big, beautiful eyes, filled with wonder. First steps, first smiles, first birthdays! There are a lot of milestones to capture in that first year - that's why I call them milestone photoshoots as well as older baby photoshoots.

Booking your milestone photoshoot
​
Milestone photoshoots are for babies between 4-18 months old. The absolute best time for booking a milestone photoshoot is when your baby is sitting up, but not yet walking confidently. For babies under 4 months, check out my newborn photoshoots. For babies under 18 months who can run around; toddlers over 18 months; or if you would like to include one or more siblings, a family photoshoot is what you're looking for!
A milestone shoot can be booked to capture a first: birthday, Christmas, steps, sitting up, rolling over, or simply to document your gorgeous, funny little one as they grow.

Before your milestone photoshoot
​
You will be given a link to your online milestones photoshoot handbook. There, you'll find my booking form where you can give me a list of all the shots you're hoping to get; let me know who which location you'd like; who else might be joining us for the shoot; and answer a couple of questions about your baby.

During your milestone photoshoot
​
I will help your baby to relax and be as natural as possible. I tend to snap most of the best shots when you don't even know I'm pressing the button!
The session is entirely baby-led and we can take as many breaks as your baby needs. I'll use the feeding and changing breaks to photograph any other children you have, or simply document the caregiving routine.
​
Instead of handling or positioning your baby, I will keep my distance and speak softly and respectfully to him or her about what I'm doing - not as weird as it sounds, honest - and I'll get you involved as much as possible to hold, move or soothe your baby when needed. Family portraits are included if you wish!

After your milestone photoshoot:
​
You will receive a link to a large gallery of proofs. I offer a totally optional, no pressure option to upgrade and purchase the whole gallery if you can't decide on just 10, which also includes a large print. Info about upgrading your newborn session is below.

I will professionally edit the photos that you choose, making the colours pop and the light look perfect.
​
I offer home newborn photoshoots in and around Coventry, Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
For a bespoke mobile studio session in your own home, please contact me for a quote. For safety reasons, the mobile studio is only suitable for babies who are not yet crawling or walking, and is not suitable for older siblings or family groups.
