Natural and elegant Cake Smashes in Coventry and Warwickshire

I believe there are three types of people:

 

- those who have never heard of cake smash photoshoots; 

​

- those who have heard of them and absolutely love them and the themed, colourful, "fancy dress" style that most photographers offer;

​

- those who have heard of them and think it's perhaps all a bit much. 

​

I am here to propose an alternative to the loud colours, the fancy dress, and the "got to make sure the child stays in one spot" backdrops, whilst still providing something special to celebrate your little one's first birthday.  

​

In my studio, I keep it simple.

 

One birthday boy/girl, one natural cake, some elegant decorations, like white balloons and gold bunting, and a large studio to explore and play in.

It's easy to think that "simple" means "boring", but by keeping it simple, we create elegance and timelessness in your images; my guarantee is that your cake smash photographs will be anything but boring.

 

By keeping the set-up simple, your little one can crawl, walk, explore and play anywhere in my studio.

​

By taking the focus off fancy dress and themes, I can capture your child's true personality and genuine facial expressions.

​

And because the studio is all white and I mainly use natural light, there is no need to keep jumping up to pop them back in the right spot. That means less chance of tears - win win! 

​

If you like the idea of celebrating your baby's first birthday with a cake smash photoshoot, but have been put off by the thought of ending up with loud, themed images that might not quite fit your home decor when you come to print them, I might just be the photographer for you.

I offer natural, simple and elegant cake smash photoshoots at my studio in Cheylesmore, Coventry, and we can also do a cake smash in your own home (if you're keen to make your own backdrop/props/cake and you're not afraid of a bit of mess...!) or even outdoors in warmer weather. 

​

We also don't have to smash a cake! I offer "clean" birthday photoshoots, and as long as the food won't stain my studio walls or floors we can smash pretty much anything. 

​
